Is humility a shameful vice?

Aristotle held 'pride' to be the greatest of all virtues. He didn't necessarily mean arrogance. For the ancient Greeks, when somebody's self-esteem exceeded their actual merit, it was hubris and considered bad. But where does this leave humility? I certainly believe it is a weakness, but is it the greatest of all vices and what does this say about weakness in general?
