Will a misdemeanor come up on a background check?

I was incarcerated and taken to jail in Rothbery, Michigan 7/3/2011 for possession of an open intoxicant and blew a 0.62% ( legally sober enough to drive). I am a pilot and will soon be submitting applications for hire into several airlines. I was wondering if anybody could tell me if this will come up on their background check and if so, how negatively will it effect me?
