Mr. and Mrs. Bert Jones have been married for 60 years. Mrs. Jones developed Alzheimer's about 10 years ago and remained at home until it became evident that she needed more extensive care than her husband could provide. She has been a resident at Nightingale Care Center for two months. One day, a nurse walks in and sees Mrs. Jones being touched ually by her husband, Mr. Jones, who is also masturbating. The nurse was mortified and scolded Mr. Jones then went straight to the administrator's office to lodge a complaint against Mr. Jones for indecent exposure. Is this an ethical issue? Why or why not? What would you do if you were a social worker in this nursing home?
