What changed his mind?

alrighty well this guy and i were awesome friends two summers ago and through the year following that summer. Then last summer i got complete unexplained cold shoulder from him. and now over txt and facebook we are talking again... but when i asked if we were still friends he said uh yeah! we hung out all summer two summers ago... but that makes me wonder then what happened to change that?
